Setting

Solio Lodge is a four hour drive from Nairobi however; there are private charters available which take you directly to Solio Ranch air strip.

Accommodation & Facilities

There are six luxurious cottages available with the option of combining two of them to provide a family suite. Each of the rooms are uniquely designed with a real modern-chic feel, from the layout to the objets d’art. There are breath-taking vistas from each of the cottages of Mount Kenya which can be thoroughly enjoyed from your own private deck.

A whole range of spa treatments are available from the lodge itself and can be arranged to take place in the comfort of your own room! There are also numerous outdoor activities to take part in including fishing by Mount Kenya and bikes are available to rent from the lodge for you to explore the surrounding areas.

Dining

Served within the central mess area; breakfast, lunch and dinner are a mouth-watering blend of local and international dishes. You also have the opportunity to dine privately on your own deck, which is very romantic especially whilst looking out over the reserve watching the wildlife stroll by.

Activities

Based in the middle of Solio reserve game drives are a vital part of your stay at Solio Lodge. The guides can take you out day or night and most have lived in the area all their lives- giving them a completely in depth knowledge of the wildlife which they have lived amongst for decades. There is also the opportunity to take a helicopter ride which will give you an entirely different perspective of the magnificent Kenyan landscape.

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcome at the Solio Lodge; babysitters are available at no extra cost.
