Spirit of the Masai Mara is set within the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves, situated in southwest Kenya. With an area of more than 1,500km2 that stretches over large open grasslands and acacia forests, the Masai Mara offers the opportunity to view some of the world’s most ancient and most threatened creatures.
Surrounding Spirit of the Masai Mara and the Masai Mara National Reserve is the Serengeti Park to the south, the Siria escarpment to the west and Masai pastoral ranches to the north, east and west.
Accommodation & facilities
Spirit of the Masai Mara offers 10 luxury air-conditioned suites within its grounds. The suites each contain a double/twin bedroom, a spacious lounge area to relax in and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub overlooking the Masai Mara National Reserve and a walk in shower.
Each suite has floor to ceiling glass windows to ensure uninterrupted viewing of the beautiful Masai Mara.
The main lodge includes a library and an incredibly powerful telescope to view the beautiful Kenyan night sky. Within the lodge, there is a friendly welcoming bar and lounge area where you can enjoy a drink around the fire-pit after a long day of wildlife adventures.

Invite yourself on a culinary safari with the delights of the Kenyan and continental cuisine at Spirit of the Masai Mara. Home-grown vegetables ensure your food is fresh and organic and reduce air and road miles.

Activities
Game drives are offered in the morning and the evening, all accompanied by expert guides who are happy to share their vast wildlife knowledge with you.
Bush walks are strictly prohibited in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, so the guides of Spirit of the Masai Mara will take you on an exciting walking safari through the Siana Conservancy. As well as hearing all about the surrounding wildlife, the expert guides will explain to you the traditional medicinal uses of different shrubs and trees.
Take flight on a hot air balloon safari and fly through the crisp fresh air of the Masai Mara Game Reserve at dawn. The one our flight gives you a breath-taking bird’s eye view of the best East Africa has to offer. After your unforgettable safari, a champagne breakfast can be enjoyed followed by a drive back to the lodge.
Spirit of the Masai Mara offers an unbelievable experience to spend the day in the nearby Masai village. Enjoy the traditional Masai dances and jumping contests and learn from the Masai how to make fire and use a spear and bow and arrow.
Other activities include bird viewing and swimming in the infinity pool.
