Setting
Just 35km from Mombasa, Water Lovers is on the popular Diani Beach. Shops, bars, cafes and restaurants are all close by, as well as a lush rainforest and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean!
Accommodation & Facilities
The 6 cottages are all spacious and private, available as either double or triples. Décor is Mediterranean and Swahili inspired with their own large veranda with ocean views. Rooms come with air conditioning, fans, mosquito nets, tea and coffee making facilities and even a sim card for use in your own mobile.
The private villa has its own fully equipped kitchen, 2 double rooms (both en-suite) and a cosy and comfortable lounge and dining area. Upstairs in the gallery there are another 2 king beds and a third bathroom. The villa has made fantastic use of local and drift woods, creating a large dining table and a beautiful staircase. Housekeeping is included here; there is also a chef and laundry service on request at extra cost.
There is also a restaurant, bar and a turtle shaped infinity pool. Shops are in walking distance, you will also find bars, restaurants, cafes, banks, a pharmacy and other facilities such as a health shop.
DininG
The restaurant, called Tides, fuses local ingredients with Mediterranean recipes. Cuisine is always fresh and uses locally sourced ingredients. White washed walls, wooden beams and large aqua cushions give it a Greek feel, with a really calm and tranquil atmosphere. Menus are ever changing and specific diets can easily be catered for.
Activities
There is a beach house for water sports, such as kite surfing and wind surfing. Wooden fishing boats can take guests out for snorkelling, diving and fishing excursions. There is a golf course down the road and trips can be organised to Wasini Island & Kisite Marine Park in a traditional dhow, where you can find dolphins and turtles in their natural habitat. Safaris can also be arranged from here to some of Kenya’s main national parks such as Amboseli, Tsavo, Shimba Reserve and the Maasai Mara.
