River Camp is one of two camps known as Richard’s Camps, owned by Richard and Liz and was initially established as their home away from home. Richard Roberts is one of our Natural World Heroes thanks to his fantastic conservation work in the Mara.
Perfectly located within 70 acres of private land, right on the banks of the Njageteck River, its location within the Mara North Conservancy offers total exclusivity and, with a permanent water source, excellent wildlife sightings year round.
Well known for its resident lions, there have been incredible sightings right by the camp of them hunting, and falling asleep to the sounds of lions is most certainly a wonderful experience. The tents themselves have a fantastic, casual yet luxurious feel and each is uniquely furnished with bits and bobs collected by Liz on her travels.
